Anamatic Feedback

The feedback on the anamatic was that the shots were difficult to see as they were very faint because they were only in light pencil. They said that most of the music was strange and didnt fit with the shots. also they stated that the beginning of the music was good as it was a hollow droning noise which builds up tension. It was comented that there should be a change in pace when the clips change pase ie shot 12 when john starts to get followed. There was a good timing with the music changing with the clips changing. Once again the class commented on the title and how good it sounds.

Production company Logo

We decided to create our own comany logo for the production team. We found a pictue of a gun and a bullet hole on google and put them in to paintshop. After this we painted the backgroud a dark purple and went around the pictures of the gun and the hole so that there was no white area around them. Then we took a picture of a mountian also found on google and pasted it in to the paintshop. We then moved it into the centre of the bullet hole to give the impression that the bullet was fired and revealed the mountian. Finally we added a texture from the options on program which we made go from the bottom left corner to half way across the page, this was bold red lines to start with and got fainter the futher they went across the page until the vanished in the middle.

FEEDBACK

We discussed our pitch to the rest of the class and the teacher where we would then get ideas from them and how to improve. They mentioned it was a bit confusing however that maybe because we didn't mention everything. They also said that older actors would be a lot better than getting one of our group to act in it but if the worst comes to worst we would have to use ourselves. The gun scene where the man gets out of the car and you catch a glimpse of his gun was said to be a bit dangerous if anyone gets the wrong idea. But we got compliments on the title we have chose, 'DEAD RUNNER' and it fits well to the story of our sequence. When we film the church scene we would need to get permission from the church so everything runs smoothly.

P1-01 : THRILLER PROJECT 2007/8

PITCH - INITIAL IDEA

Scene 1: First shot is of the good guy in his flat sorting out some fluff on his white shirt (a perfectionist) putting on is long trench coat (black) where he then leaves and starts to walk down stairs, half way down he stops to sort out the bottom of his suit trouser. He comes out of a front door around the centre of town where he sees a car pull up outside.

Scene 2: It cuts to 2 people talking in the car. Discussing to get the brief case that the man is carrying and if failed there will be serious consequences. Henchman gets out of the car straightens his jacket and tightens his tie and starts to follow the good guy; in the background you hear the car drive off.

Scene 3: The good guy looks back because he can hear footsteps, turns too took and no one is there cuts the henchman hiding against the wall pans across back to the guy looking back. He carries on walking but the footsteps just carry on he. Looks back again this time he catches a glimpse of the henchman and realizes he is following him so he speeds up and takes a right down buy FCUK and McDonald's.

Scene 4: Henchman carries on following around the right bend and realizes he has gone in to the church and follows him in (over shoulder shot). When he gets in the church he notices someone sitting down has the exact same briefcase and checks to see if it's the same man he was following, where he discovers it's not. He then clocks the guy sitting at the very front of the church on the seat so he walks, sly, over to him.

Scene 5: Just one massive close up of the gun, catching the detail of the finger on the trigger.

Scene 6: The church from outside where the sound effect of a bang will be played as if the gun has been fired. From this the titles will play containing the name of the piece (undecided so far) and the cast and director etc. However once these titles have finished, you see the man in the trench coat leaving the scene (church) and entering the same car that the Henchman was dropped off in to leave a massive suspicion for the rest of the film.

LEARNING FINAL CUT AND GARAGEBAND

By Will

I created this using final cut. We use "motion" for the text i think it gave it a great affect and made the writing come a bit more to life. We then used GarageBand to make the music we made the music to fit the piece so that it would flow through.

FINAL CUT - PREP WORK

This is the final clip that we made. First off we chose a random audio file from the computer and placed it in final cut. Then we used some pre-made clips that were on the computer to choose from then cut them up and added transitions to fit with the selected music. After this was complete we made our own music on 'Garageband' to fit with the sequence.

Video:

Over all we learned a lot about the programs we used and what each function did and can now use this program quite efficient.
